Dr. Christian Russ, DMD

Dr. Christian Russ is a Florence native whose commitment to dental excellence has been evident since his early days. A proud graduate of Shoals Christian School in 2014, he pursued his passion for science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, earning a degree in Biology in 2018. His journey into dentistry continued at the same institution, where he was immersed in the latest dental technologies and conservative treatment approaches. Graduating from dental school in 2022, Dr. Russ returned to his roots in Florence, eager to serve the community he holds dear. His approach to dental care combines cutting-edge techniques with a deep commitment to patient comfort and comprehensive care. Alongside his professional endeavors, Dr. Russ cherishes his life in Florence with his wife, Grace, and their son, Miles, born in April 2022. Together, they embody the family values and community spirit that Russ Dentistry is all about.

Dr. Teena Jeffreys McLaughlin, DMD

Dr. Teena Jeffreys McLaughlin's journey in dentistry is marked by a series of pioneering achievements and a deep-rooted passion for the field. Growing up in the Shoals area and graduating from Colbert County High School in 1981, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of North Alabama, graduating in 1986. Her exceptional talents and dedication led her early into the University of Alabama in Birmingham Dental School, where she graduated in 1989. Not only did she become the first woman dentist in the quad cities by opening her practice in Florence, but she also showcased her versatility and commitment by mastering every aspect of dental office operations from an early age. Dr. McLaughlin's extensive experience, from dental assisting to managing insurance and bookkeeping, has made her a well-rounded professional and a mentor to many aspiring dentists, especially women in the field. Her passion for dentistry is paralleled by her dedication to community service, reflected in her active membership in various dental associations. Along with her husband, Dr. Jeffrey McLaughlin, and their three children, she continues to contribute to the Florence community both as a dental professional and a committed resident.
